2008 Democratic National Convention Wednesday night: Barak Obama is 'Ready To Lead'

The theme of Bill’s speech could easily be reduced to one word: Ready.

“Barack Obama is ready to lead America and restore American leadership in the world,” Bill said. “Ready to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. Barack Obama is ready to be president of the United States.”

Bill Clinton is still the first Black President in my book!



Senator Clinton went to the Convention floor and made a motion to nominate Barack Obama as the Democratic candidate by acclamation. She hit it out of the ball park nailing every aspect needed in the speech:

-Praising Obama's candidacy, check
-Rallying her supporters for Obama, check
-Attacks on McCain, check
He obviously accepted and will give his acceptance speech tomorrow at Invesco Field.

I don't know if you are realizing this but an African American is now the nominee of a major Party in this Western World, this hasn't been done before anywhere, not even in Europe.
