Big Sean is a new dope artist signed to G.O.O.D. music with other great artist such as Kanye West, Kid Cudi, Consequence, GLC, John Legend and more. Hes all over the mixtape game right now and his new album is under wrap and working with top name producers like Pharrell and Mr. West.

I watched the BET Awards last nite and as expected it was a big night for Weezy and Obama received several endorsements. N*E*R*D* ripped the stage wit Common of course BET wasn't ready for that one. MTV was kind enough to put together a small recap clip. Even if you missed the show, it is almost guaranteed that they will run it a thousand TRILLION times by the end of the week.

43 year old Hopkins gave 26 year old Kelly Pavlik a boxing lesson and his first loss in 12-round non-title bout Saturday night at Boardwalk Hall NJ. Pavlik the WBC and WBO middleweight champion—look slow and powerless in fighting at 170 pounds, 10 pounds over his weight class. Hopkins seemed super excited about his victory. All 12 rounds were played out very well he looked real good in there for a 43 year old i'll have to say. I honestly predicted Pavlik would win on decision.

October 2nd the Copyright Royalty Board in Washington is expected to decide whether or not to increase the amount of money paid to songwriters for music purchased online from nine cents to 15 cents a song. 2.R.I.P. Rap City-BET is shutting down Rap City, the onetime cornerstone of its lineup, and we can't help but be a little bit nostalgic. In the age of YouTube, pining for the heyday of music-video shows is almost like reminiscing about the sturdy feel of the typewriter, but some of us remember coming home from school and letting our impressionable minds be molded by sometimes questionable footage: André 3000 popping his shoulder pads in the "Rosa Parks" video, the 504 Boyz making it "Wobble, Wobble." The Times points out that the show had been around since 1989, when it was introduced as a competitor for Yo! MTV Raps, but we more or less just remember Tha Basement years with Big Tigger, especially the dude's terrible freestyles in the booth. They're replacing it with a show about the music industry called The Deal, which is maybe indicative of the state of hip-hop — people are more interested in seeing what happens behind the scenes than in taking in what that industry is actually producing.
