I don't know if you are realizing this but an African American is now the nominee of a major Party in this Western World, this hasn't been done before anywhere, not even in Europe.

What a game we had last night or morning or whatever. If you're like me you stayed up until 2:30 am to watch Team USA get back on top of the world when they beat Spain in a very entertaining game. It was a close one, Spain fought hard to tie it up but every time the U.S punched even harder. Wade had a huge game coming off the bench and when it was needed Kobe Bryant aka "Mr. 4th quarter" took over and put the nail in the coffin.

Congrats to the "Redeem Team", Women's basketball and Lisa Leslie for their 4th gold in a row.

The Olympic torch went off last night.

It was a total success worth 40 billion dollars. High in intensity, suspense, excitement, and disappointment at the same time. All the athletes brought their A-game, some more than others. We saw tears when Team USA track & field dropped the baton, we heard screams when Phelps was beating world records after world records and felt overwhelming emotions whenever a flag was raised (whatever the country you were reppin').

Beijing amazed us from the very beginning to the end with its colorful spectacle of lights, music, fireworks and culture. We learned a lot from China and we have even more respect today for them. You have to understand the culture to understand the People and today you won't be making anymore stereotypes towards Chinese or Asians especially after being so warmly welcomed.

Unfortunately the games were marked with a few controversies just like the previous ones. We questioned the real age of the Chinese gymnasts, we were shocked by the Cuban athlete that kicked a referee in the face. These incidents won't overshadow the memories we keep from Beijing though, we all have our favorite moments: Phelps 8 golds, Usain Bolt's individual world records, USA Men's Basketball back on top of the World and of course Women's Beach Volleyball (lol!)...

America finished with 110 total medals, China 100; however, China had more gold medals.

Thanks Beijing 2008, Good Luck London 2012.

He was tied with others like Carl Lewis at 9 gold medals. He won two races the 200m butterfly and 800m freestyle relay with USA team and now he's the sole record holder. He's not only the greatest swimmer of all times but he's about to become the greatest athlete of all times.

R.I.P Isaac Hayes: 1942-2008

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, the voice behind the soundtrack of the movie "Shaft" and the character "Chef" in South Park (Comedy Central), Isaac Hayes has passed away earlier today. He was found unconscious next to a treadmill by his wife and rushed to the hospital where he later died. Thoughts and prayers to the family, he will be dearly missed.

Heres some interesting info Mick Boogie posted today regarding Jay-Z’s Blueprint 3.

Kanye will indeed be producing most, if not all, of the album. Remember back in the day when an artist would do a whole album with one producer for cohesiveness? Think classic Snoop or Jeru with Primo… and fast forward it to 2008.
Jay will be leaking the finished version of Jockin’ as soon as he adds a new 3rd verse to the song.
Tracks to look for include the aforementioned Jockin’ Jay-Z and a new track entitled Victory that the rumor mill says is simply amazing.
Wow. A Hov album, entirely produced by Kanye could be ridiculous.

So far from what I heard and the leaks this Project is gonna be REALL REALLY good come back for T.I. It's like he never left. Glad to see he still got it and I love the new single "Whatever you like" just the overall feel of the track. Another leaked hit the web wit THe Dream called "Like I Do" don't know if its on the album but its pretty good. "No Matter What" is a song you can listen to in any mood. For that bump in your trunk you'll have to flip it to "Swing ya Rag" produced by non other than Swizz Beatz the monster. Lets see what else hits the net till September.

Woody Allen's upcoming Vicky Cristina Barcelona, the film over which Woody and his publicist have been battling about the inclusion (or non-inclusion) of a ménage à trois between Javier Bardem, Penélope Cruz, and Scarlett Johansson. Barcelona does feature Cruz, Johansson, and Rebecca Hall, and a carefree, pro-sex attitude at odds with Allen's typical romantic cynicism which boils to a true chick flick that I actually wouldnt mind seeing. Come on Penelope and Scarlett kissing?!

X Games XIV Danny Way Big Air bail

I know i'm a lil late on this but when I saw this live it bugged me the hell out. The risk these riders take, this is possibly the most scariest event in the X Games. The Big Air. Well after seeing Danny Way crash and burn then recovering to take silver by getting back on his board and nailing it says that nothing is impossible.

X Games Rally:Travis Pastrana takes the Gold

I get back home from work and watch thee most exciting X Games Rally ever!!! People can say that rally at X Games isn't representative of stage rally in the woods, but how can you deny the insanity and carnage of two compressed into 2 hours. Rally at X Games comes complete with a double dose of insanity!

Travis Pastrana endured a brief moment in time when he wasn't favored to win. When Niall McShea's squeaky clean run turned sour, just slightly overcooking right before re-entry into the stadium, the front suspension on the car locked the steering up and McShea had no option but to beach his 2008 STI prepped by Vermont Sportscar by the landing of the big jump.




Travis Hanson, the alternate, went on to win the heat and advance to the next round, receiving the cheers worthy of an underdog. Surely the entire rally crew breathed a sigh of relief at McShea's misfortune, as he had been so fast in practice. I hope we'll see more of McShea in the american rally scene.

Ultimately, NOS got all the exposure that could ever want as ACP completed his front flip off the gap for a place in history. Dave Mirra/Rally Brat took home Bronze for drilling the wall after taking off for the jump a bit wide.

And for Silver, it was Tanner Foust(my favorite driver)/Chrissie and Pastrana/Bosley takes the Gold. For those keeping track, that's Pastrana's ninth gold at X Games. He's also won for supercross, motocross, and freestyle motocross, in addition to rallying.
