Dope Sheit: Sprint Palm Pixi

Here is the new Palm Pixi that is launching on Sprint before the holiday season (maybe mid November release). It features a 2.6″ 320 x 400 capacitive touchscreen, 8GB of memory, 2MP camera with flash (thank God…), a full QWERTY keyboard (that SEEMS better than the Pre’s current QWERTY offering), EV-DO Rev A support for data, and (unfortunately) no Wi-Fi.

This will be yet another Sprint exclusive. I don’t think that Palm is doing the right thing launching multiple webOS phones on the same carrier. They should be launching this and future carriers because Sprint already got a lengthy exclusivity period with the Pre. Oh well, if Palm wants to bet the company on Sprint, they may do so, but I really do hope they get this and other webOS devices on larger networks like Verizon and AT&T.

NEW YORK – Kanye West and Lady Gaga’s tour is over before it began. Just days after announcing dates for an ambitious tour that was to kick off next month, the tour was canceled. Live Nation announced the news on Thursday. The tour promoter says refunds will be issued.The name of the tour was to be “Fame Kills.”The cancellation comes on the heels of negative publicity for West. He is still feeling the heat for hijacking Taylor Swift’s award-winning moment at the MTV Video Music Awards last month. Via
